One of our custom footstools or items of occasional seating could be just the thing for you. It is easy to get started, pick a style, select a fabric and choose some feet (if applicable) then On The Up Upholstery will do the rest.

Although we have put together some styles for you to choose from if what you see here doesn't quite match your vision, you can contact us directly to discuss your ideas and get a quotation. With so many options for size, shape, fabric and feet there are myriad possibilities.
The finishing styles can also be swapped around, the square-buttoning illustrated on the Cube Stool below can also be used on a footstool, the piping shown around the Drum Stool could be used to further customise one of our Classical Footstools.
Go bold with your fabric choice and have an eye-catching accent piece for your home, add longer legs and deeper padding and your footstool becomes an occasional seat or dressing table stool, stretch your footstool and add hairpin legs, now you have a bench for your hallway or why not go large and that footstool could be a coffee table!
The Classical Collection
Our Classical Collection footstools are made with locally sourced hardwood frames and can be upholstered in a variety of materials, including natural wool and luxurious velvet to suit you taste and budget.
We currently offer two styles, the traditional plaid and the deep-buttoned footstool.
Traditional Plaid
Deep-Buttoned
These gorgeous footstools offer solace to tired feet and achy legs. The simple styling lets the tartan do the talking and will add a touch of highland chic to your living room.
The "Trad Plaid" footstools are available in a range of wool plaid fabrics and two different sizes.

The classic deep-buttoned footstool is the epitome of style. Non-patterned fabrics work best in this case so nothing detracts from the timeless elegance of the hand-formed diamonds in this traditional style of footstool.

The Jazz Collection
Our Jazz Collection offers a more contemporary take on occasional seating. We currently offer two styles, the Cube Stools and the Drum Stool.
The Drum Stool
The Cube Stool
The Drum Stool offers a touch of whimsy with its playful, rounded form. Its smooth, cylindrical body invites you to perch comfortably, while the flat top provides a sturdy seat. Upholstered in your choice of patterned velvet over a padded wooden frame, this stool adds a unique accent to any room, a functional piece of furniture and an interesting conversation starter.

With its geometric design and button details the square-buttoned Cube Stool is a fun and stylish addition to any room. This example has the top buttons pulled down to create a sculptured top surface, but if you'd rather have the top flatter, like the sides, that's good too, after all it's your footstool - your way!
Underneath the soft wool upholstery lies a wooden frame which means the Cube Stool is a reliable extra seat and can even function as a footrest or side table.
Available in a single block colour with either matching or contrasting buttons or in a two-tone pattern, as pictured.
